Shrimp/Punch – size Medium, standard length with two ribbons & pockets
Nettle/Parma Violet – size small, cropped length with one ribbon & pockets
This instant download pattern talks you through all you need for this gorgeous gilet.
Such a super stylish accessory, you can really make it your own. Choose from two different lengths, add ties (one or two) and pockets depending on how you want it to look. The trim could even be in the same colour rather than a contrast if you’d prefer.
The gilet is knit from the bottom up in one main panel before splitting for the arm holes and joining again at the shoulder seam with a kitchener stitch. You then finish with a clever applied i-cord edging around the whole of the gilet. Adding pocket and ties at the end should you wish, and you have yourself an absolutely stunning garment.
The pattern covers sizes 6-28 and it fits to size with a little bit of ease. It is designed to be knit in our Big Little Yarn which is a washable merino.
Finished sizes approx:
S (UK 6-10): 46cm wide
M (UK 12-16): 54cm wide
L (UK 18-22): 66cm wide
XL (UK 24-28): 75cm wide
Gilet is approx 45/50cm cropped / 55/60cm hip length
