This Chevron Vest is a great all-season item, suitable for intermediate knitters. Choose three contrasting colours to create the retro striped feel. The main colour breaks up the blocks of four finer stripes, and altogether make a gentle chevron wave.
The pattern is created by a combination of increase and decrease stitches, with a rib edge neckline and garter stitch edging. The overall finish has a beautiful timeless vibe to it and can be layered over tee or blouse.
Originally designed for our LADvent 2024 calendar in a rainbow mix of colours, we love it as a three tone knit – which combo will you choose?!
An intermediate knit, the vest is knit in two panels, joined at the shoulders and then a pick up and knit neckline is added at the end.
The length of the vest is approx 50cm long. If you wanted to knit it longer it is possible, although you will need more yarn.
Widths (approx) as follows:
Small (UK 6-10): 45cm
Medium (UK 12-16): 55cm
Large (UK 18-22): 65cm
