LADvent 2024 – all you need to know…

Hello Gang!

This week we were absolutely thrilled to launch LADvent 2024 and open up pre-orders from you (buzzing to find out that we’d sold almost a fifth of our stock, thank you so so much!!)

I know there will be plenty of you who are already familiar with LADvent but equally lots of you who’ve never come across it before!

Either way, we’d love to give you the lowdown of what to expect this year, with all the info about the patterns too.

The final design of the calendar is still to be revealed, it’s currently being printed as we speak and we are so excited to see it finished!!

What is LADvent?

LADvent is our zero waste, yarn filled Advent Calendar – this is now the fourth one we’ve done and we look forward to them each year.

The idea is that you open a door a day revealing your ball of yarn and work your way, day by day, through a knitting project so that by Christmas you’ll have a finished make to show off to Santa.

Each ball will take around 10-20 minutes to knit up, hopefully making it manageable for an evening’s work and you can weave your loose ends in as you go so that it’s not a long winded job at the end.

What's new this year?

🎀 This year is a little different to previous years in that you have a choice of two different colour options – we’re calling them Pink or Blue but each calendar has a beautiful ombre collection of shades (as you’ll see from our images)

🎀 Each calendar starts with the same five neutral shades before leading into a glorious selection of limited & stock colours. Some of the yarn has been dyed especially for the calendar so it’ll be brand new to even our subscribers!

🎀 The Blue calendar has a beautiful range of muted browns, yellows, greens and blues whereas the Pink has rich reds, purples, pinks and a touch of orange included.

🎀 You can of course purchase both calendars to get the whole selection of shades. This gives you the option of making the blanket, mixing up the shades on any of the patterns or making a cardigan for you and a vest for a friend (for eg!)

What do you get?

🧶 As before, there are 24 doors to open, each with a 25g ball of Super Chunky Merino Wool yarn behind it

🧶 Each ball is a different colour with a mixture of our stock colours and stunning Limited Edition colours – that have dyed especially for LADvent & our yarn subscription boxes

🧶 As you open the doors 1-24 you’ll get the beautiful ombre range as shown in the patterns – you can of course mix it up and open them in any order you like (or all at once – we’re not ones to judge ;p)

🧶 You’ll also get 8 x exclusive patterns that won’t be released until next year

🧶 There is a range of clothing, accessories and homeware patterns for all knitting capabilities

🧶 We’ve also added all the yarn bundles and tools that you need to complete the patterns if you want to add them when you purchase your LADvent (all you need is listed on each pattern info below)
