It’s that wonderful time of year again when Wimbledon is on, the sun is shining and we can drink Pimms at lunchtime! I love July.
Last Year
This time last year I was watching Wimbledon behind a sea of footstools as the orders were flying in but I didn’t want to miss a minute of the sunny tennis. I remember as though it was yesterday, sitting on the sofa, with the patio doors open and happily stitching away to make up all the footstools ready to go out that week. This year is a similar scene but i’m pleased to say it’s not just footstools but a whole heap of products since my range has expanded so much since then.
This year
One thing that hasn’t and will never change is that every year, when Wimbledon is on, I make a cake. Not just any cake but the cake to beat all cakes. Mary Berry’s Wimbledon Cake. Quick, Easy, delicious and calorie free (well, not quite but less calories that some other cakes!) It wouldn’t be the second week of Wimbledon if I didn’t make this beauty and share it with you.
Last year I did a post on this very cake so i’m pleased to report that everything you need can be found on this one link – Wimbledon in all it’s Delicious Glory.
I hope you enjoy making and eating your Wimbledon cakes, please do report back with pictures so I can see your masterpieces!
Take Care,
L x
P.S I owe you some new products! They were supposed to be released at the end of June but due to Santa-hat-insanity have been a bit delayed. I’m working on a  secret project with Notonthehighstreet at the moment and once that’s done I PROMISE i’ll get a move on with the new collection!
