Privacy Policy

At Lauren Aston Designs, I am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to my website and subscribers to my newsletter. I will not be using the data you give me in any way apart from how I specifically state I will be doing so. Please read on to find out why I collect your data, how I use it and how I will not disclose it to others.

Visitors to my Website

When you, or anyone else, visits my website www.laurenastondesigns.com I use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.  This is for my own marketing purposes to find out which pages are most popular on the website, and to research customer patterns within the website. I do not access any of your personal data using Google and I do not allow Google or anyone else to make an attempt to find out the identities of those visiting the site.

If I do want to collect any personal data that identifies you through the website, I will be upfront and honest about this, and will give you the right to opt out at any time of giving me your data, or any personal details whatsoever.

Mailing Lists

I would like to send you up to date news, offers and information as part of my monthly e-newsletter. I may also want to inform you of any new kits, designs or products I have for sale, or to download. To do this, I will need some personal information from you – your email address and your name. I use this data to email you about products I am selling, events I am attending, blogs I have written and anything else I feel is relevant or of interest to you. I may also contact you to check I have your information correct, or to check you are happy still receiving content from me. I will never give, sell, trade or rent any of your data to or with other organisations or businesses.

I use a third party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver the newsletter. Using Mailchimp’s reports on the email, I gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help me monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For information around how Mailchimp use your data please see their privacy notice.

I will not use the data you give me to subscribe to my monthly newsletter in any other way. It will not be saved on any other system aside from the Mailchimp list you signed up for, and I will not transfer it to any other lists unless you allow me to do so.

I may occasionally email you to ask you if you are happy remaining on our mailing list – but I will always refer to our privacy notice to remind you of your rights, and if you do not want to continue receiving information from me, I will remove you from that mailing list.

You have the option to unsubscribe at any time to my e-newsletter, either by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails, by emailing [email protected] or by going into your Mailchimp account and unsubscribing.

Once you have chosen to unsubscribe from my emails, I will delete all data I have on you and it will be removed from my system permanently.

Customers

If you have purchased products from Lauren Aston Designs, I will hold your data for a maximum of 3 years and may from time to time email you with information that I feel you will be interested in, such as new products similar to the one you purchased from me, or new kits if you have purchased a kit before. I will only contact you with these products or new designs if I believe I have a legitimate interest to do so. The information that I send you will only be relevant to the product that you purchased from me, and will not be used in any other form.

Any links that I refer to on my site or in my blog are not covered by this privacy notice. If you have questions about how those sites use your data, please check their privacy notice.
